Global Brain Candy New Year’s Resolution

I’ve been wracking my brain lately for more inspiration on what to blog about and the direction that Global Brain Candy should take, and one idea dawned on me when I read “Adding Fees and Fences on Media Sites” in The New York Times. Given that we’re less than a week away from 2010, I also thought that making this idea part of a Global Brain Candy New Year’s Resolution might be a great way to more formally add a new dimension to the Media Corner section.

Blogs Can Build Reputation, According to AVC.com

As part of Technorati’s annual State Of The Blogosphere report one of my favorite bloggers, Fred Wilson at AVC.com, shared some thoughts on VCs and entrepreneurs who blog.

Books for Entrepreneurs by Fred Wilson

I was reading one of my favorite bloggers, Fred Wilson, and he has this interesting feature called Zemanta to reblog his posts. I thought it was interesting and tried it out on one of his postings that I thought was relevant to mine. Below is the result. I think they try to make it a standalone posting for a blog, but it looked so random on its own that I decided to put an intro. Favorite Blogger on Freemium and Freeconomics in the FT

Since I tend to consume most news online or on TV, it’s a little cathartic during the rare times that I get to read hard copies of print publications. This often happens when airlines give away complimentary copies, and I actually sit down and page through articles quickly while on the plane.
